Youth Take the Street for May Day! 📣
📍 Riverfront Rotary Fountain
🗓 Friday, May 1, 2026
🕓 4 PM Youth March | 5 PM Rally
No Work. No School. No Shopping.
Youth people from across Eastern Washington are coming together to organize for justice and a future where all of us can thrive.
May Day is rooted in the long history of workers, immigrants, students, families, and communities coming together to demand dignity, safety, and a life beyond survival. It reminds us that we have the collective power to challenge injustice and build something better.
We know not everyone can step away from work, school, or essential responsibilities. Participation doesn’t look just one way. Whether you’re in the streets or at your desk, caring for family or clocking in for a shift, you still have a role to play. Showing up for this movement looks different for everyone, and every form counts.
If you can’t fully participate, make a plan. Small, intentional choices add up:
✊️ Get what you need early
✊️ Avoid major corporations – support local business instead
✊️ Talk to your coworkers, friends, and classmates about what’s at stake
✊️ Repost/Share this message
This is collective action. Everyone has a role.
